Kate Behrens
Kate graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2008, having completed her combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (major in Psychology). She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2009 following completion of her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (University of Tasmania) and Professional Legal Training Program (Centre for Legal Studies, Tasmania). 
During 2009 Kate gained invaluable work experience with a sole practitioner in the area of criminal law. She also completed a mental health awareness and skills training course through Advocacy Tasmania enabling her to represent people in hearings that relate to their treatment in the community, hospitals and detention.
Kate moved to Perth in February 2010 and joined Bannerman Solicitors in April 2010.
Kate deals with family law issues, which include allegations of child abuse, domestic violence, disputes relating to time children spend with parents and some property matters. Kate regularly acts as Counsel in the Perth Children’s Court assisting parents deal with issues involving the Department of Child Protection.
Aside from work Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors, entertaining and relaxing with her partner in their new home.
